Seminars and exhibitions
  • 2003-2016, have been given talks in over 380 schools with topics like: “Chinese White Dolphins”, “Wetlands in Hong Kong”, “Marine Life of Hong Kong”, “Seahorse Conservation in Hong Kong”, “Birds Ecology in Hong Kong”, “Eco Photo Shooting” and “Eco Tourism”, etc;
  • 2003 – 2012, have been given seminars “Development of Eco Tourism in Hong Kong” in different universities & educational institutes in Hong Kong.
  • 2006 – 2012, A photo exhibition called “Hong Kong Eco Photo Exhibitions ” has already been held in “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” for seven years.
  • 2007 – present, “Hong Kong Black Kite Festival”, for promoting raptors conservation has been already held in Sai Kung for the 10th year.
  • 2008 – 2015, “Hong Kong Marine Life Carnival” had been held in Sai Kung Waterfront for promoting marine conservation in Hong Kong with different themes in each year
  • In 2009, cooperating with “Hong Kong Hospital Authority”, holding a seminar of “Development of Eco Tourism in Hong Kong”.
  • In 2010, cooperating with “Ngong Ping 360”, holding three Liberal Studies Workshops;

  • In 2006, leading twelve students from “The University of Hong Kong” to participate in the research program of “Biodiversity of butterflies in Peking University Chongzuo Biodiversity Research Institute”;

  • 2011 – 2012, started a research concerning about the ecology of seahorses and pipefishes in the western water of Hong Kong;

  • In 2012, started a research concerning about the ecology of pipefishes in the northern water of Lantau Island;

  • In 2012, announced a research result of the water quality of Lung Mei Shore and the affects to the eco-system;
  • 2012 – 2013, started “Phase II of the Systematic pipefish and seahorse survey”;

  • 2013 – present, Investigation on Green sea turtle at Deep Bay, Lamma Island; sponsored by PATAGONIA’s “Worn Wear Project” from 2015 to 2016
  • 2014-2015, initiated Investigation on Sea Weed bed at Lantau Island;
  • 2014 – present , carried out “Coral rehabilitation programme” with HSBC’s scuba diving team;
  • 2015 – present, carried out artificial coral transplantation at Double Island with Green Power;
  • In 2015, Survey on seahorse and sea dragon at the estuary of Tung Chung River with Green Power;
  • In 2015, discovered, together with Green Power damaged green belt of size equivalent to 2 soccer fields at Wong Chuk Yeung;

 

University Immersion Programs and Overseas Ecological Visits
  • In 2005, cooperating with the “University of Hong Kong”, holding an event called “Stay alive – Guangxi Chongzuo Ecological field trip and life experiencing program”, through visiting Professor Pan, a world famous scholar, to exchange the opinions of conservation.
  • In 2006, leading a group of students and teachers from “Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Shatin)”, visiting the “National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium” in Kenting, Taiwan, learning about the situation of marine conservation and environmental education promotions in Taiwan.
  • In 2007, cooperating with “Tao Ti” form “Telford International Company Ltd.”, visiting six places with high ecology values in the Philippines to know more about the development of Eco Tourism and conservations.
  • In 2008, cooperating with “Hong Kong Boys and Girls Club Association”, leading about 40 gifted children to visit National Park in Kenting, Taiwan to learn about the relationships between the landscape and ecology.
  • In 2008, cooperating with “Hong Kong Boys and Girls Club Association”, leading about 40 gifted children to visit Palawan, the Philippines to learn about the local rain forest.
  • In 2009, leading 14 students and teachers from “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit the “Peking University Chongzuo Biodiversity Research Institute”, know more about the ecology of White-headed Langur and the result of their conservation work.
  • In 2010, leading 15 students and teachers from “Hong Kong Institute of Education” to visit the “National Sun Yat-sen University” and “National Pingtung University of Science and Technology”, probing into the wetland and animals conservation in Taiwan.
  • In 2010, cooperating with “Hong Kong Boys and Girls Club Association”, leading 20 gifted children to visit to Tainan, Taiwan, to learn about the special landscape features in Tainan and how these been affected and related to the ecosystem and the human development.
  • In 2011, leading 16 students and teachers from “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit the “Peking University Qinzhou Bay Chinese White Dolphins Research Institute”, to know more about this valuable creature and the result of their conservation work.
  • In 2012, leading 16 students and teachers from “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit to the “National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium” in Kenting, Taiwan, to understand more about the marine conservation work in Taiwan.
  • In 2012, leading 22 students and teachers from “Ling Nan University” to visit to the “National Sun Yat-sen University” and “National Pingtung University of Science and Technology”  in Taiwan, probing into the wetland and animals conservation in Taiwan.
  • In 2012, leading 14 students and teachers from “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit the “Peking University Chongzuo Biodiversity Research Institute”, know more about the ecology of White-headed Langur and the result of their conservation work.
  • In 2012, leading a number of total 36 students and teachers from “School of Environmental Science” and “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit Sabah, Malaysia, to study the topic of “Development and Conservation of Ecotourism”.
  • In 2012, cooperating with “Hong Kong Boys and Girls Club Association”, leading 22 gifted children to visit to Green Island in Taiwan, to learn more about the geographical features and marine eco-system in Green Island.
  • In 2013, leading students and teachers from “Shaw College” of  “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit Kenting, Taiwan to learn about Biodiversity and the conservation work in Taiwan;
  • In 2014, leading 25 students and teachers of Elegantia College to Kenting, Taiwan for ecological, geological and cultural studies.
  • In 2014, leading 45 students and teachers from Pui Ching Primary School to visit Kenting, Taiwan to study marine biology and conservation in Taiwan.
  • In 2014, leading 10 students and teachers from “School of Life Science” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia, to study the wildlife there and also help to conduct a small survey on the biodiversity of butterflies in Sepilok, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia.
  • In 2014, leading students and teachers from “Shaw College” of “Chinese University of Hong Kong” to visit Tainan, to explore the special landscape features in Tainan and how these been affected and related to the ecosystem and the human development.
